We will take a quick look at what some simple shelves (not floating shelves) cost to give us an idea of how much we can charge. Remember, we’re hand making these so keep that in mind when you’re setting your prices.
The great thing about these projects is that the material had already been paid for from your previous build so this is just extra money in your pocket.
In this first video, we’re going to make some simple ledge shelves from 3 pieces of wood. All we’re going to use is 1x material, glue and brad nails.

Back Piece: 21.25” (L) x 3.5” (H)
Base Piece: 21.25” (L) x 3” (H)
Front Piece: 21.25” (L) x 1.5 (H)
