In this week’s woodturning video, Harry and I were lucky enough to get a couple of small chunks of madrone burl branches. With this small branch I decided to cut in half and make a couple of book matched bowls.
Turning wet Madrone is such a treat. I love seeing the long ribbons fly off the gouge! Harry managed to do an ok job as well on the second piece I suppose. As you’ll see in the two pieces, one of them has dried and warped while the other one is still wet and yet to shrink and move.
